Why Icepack???

By Shel Daltrey

So far I like it.

I don't actually know anything about Linux. In March of 2002, I decided it was time to find out.

I went to the linux.org site and read some info.  I wanted a linux package for my Pentium II computer.  I suppose I could have selected "Redhat" or one of the other versions I had heard of.  But I didn't.  I read through some descriptions and tried a few links.  Icepack wasn't the first one I tried, but it was the first one I tried that worked.

So, I ended up with Icepack.

I'm having a bit of trouble "compiling" a program I want to use that did not come with the Icepack install.  I paid the $20 fee for support and I'm asking a lot of questions.  They are good about responding.  I have a lot of questions, so I offered to pay a larger fee, but so far they've just gone ahead and answered my questions..
